Exporting Data

You can export datasets and calculation results in text, CSV and different binary formats or as an audio file. There is a variety of vector and bitmap formats available to you for exporting diagrams, tables and documents. In this case, the result is a static picture, which you can insert into a report, for instance. Or you can export these as OLE linked objects. In this instance, there is a dynamic link to the original in the FlexPro database. Later you can change or update a diagram again, e.g., when the data to be displayed have changed.

The hierarchical structure of FlexPro databases is excellent for publishing on the Internet or Intranet. You can allow large user groups to access your analyses without requiring these individuals to install FlexPro. In the first step of the HTML export wizard, you enter which objects you want to export, and in the second step you can choose from various display options. For instance, FlexPro can add a table of contents to the Website-either in the form of a list based on HTML or by displaying folders based on ActiveX or Java. FlexPro can utilize tables that include all design details in HTML format so that their textual information also remains intact. In many FlexPro objects, e.g., axis labels for diagrams or table titles, you can add hyperlinks to other objects or to external contents. When exporting in HTML format, these are converted correctly and remain functional in HTML. You can adjust the HTML export in many different ways. For instance, each type of object has its own HTML template that you can change any way you want. Using placeholders you can control where the object itself or other elements are to be placed.
